Optical Character Recognition (OCR):
- The OCR engine evaluates the picture of a page, finds shapes that might be letters or numbers and then outputs them to a computer file as a fully editable Document. The OCR process analyzes an image and identifies text, pictures, and layout. This information is used to reconstruct the Document. The OCR text is used by our software solely for the purpose of automatic indexing, and goes in as description for the Document containing the page being OCR.Retrieval
- Software provides you with number of ways of searching for documents using indices: Boolean Search, Index Based, By Page, Wildcards and Probabilistic Search. As more number of documents are indexed on the same keyword, the weight of the keyword decreases. The weight of the keyword becomes important in Probabilistic search.
